Smoothies can offer all kinds of different nutrients your body needs and craves. We have a smoothie recipe today that supports so many different functions, we call it POWERFUL because that’s what it is! It has superfood ingredients like blueberries, which are low in calories and high in nutrients.

Did you know that blueberries contain fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Manganese? It’s hard to find another berry with as many health benefits as the blueberry! Blueberries are a star ingredient in many of our smoothie recipes because of this. They contain a very high level of antioxidants, which can protect your body from things like free radicals. It hasn’t been fully proven, however blueberries may help lower cholesterol levels when eaten often enough. What a fantastic ingredient!

Bananas

We love bananas in our smoothies for many reasons. One reason is the incredible flavor and taste. If you need some sweetness added to your powerful healthy smoothie, chances are a banana can do the trick! Bananas are truly an incredible power food. They are rich in fiber, and contain Vitamin C, Potassium, Magnesium, and so many other great nutrients.

Nascent Iodine

Ingredients

  • 1 Banana
  • 1/3 cup Blueberries (frozen are great!)
  • 1 handful of Baby Spinach
  • 1 serving Matcha Green Tea Powder
  • 1 serving liquid Nascent Iodine

Blend your ingredients, and enjoy! This is such a powerful smoothie to start your day with, but it’s okay to drink this any time of day. You can add in some liquid B12 to give yourself an energy boost in the morning. Alternatively, in the evening you can add some liquid Sleep Aid so you can sleep through the night and then wake up refreshed in the morning!
