How to Stay Hydrated
Drinking lots of water is the main key on how to stay hydrated! The amount recommended varies by age. Aetna lists the following amounts as recommendations: 2 year olds generally need about 16oz per day. 3 year olds need approximately 24 ounces per day. Between ages 3-8, you just add an additional 8 ounces of water per year. At age 8 and after, kids can keep on drinking 64oz per day. For Adults, Mayo Clinic lists the recommended amount of water for an adult female to be 11.5 cups (or 2.7 liters) per day, and for a male, 15.5 cups (or 3.7 liters) per day.
