Favorite Fall Drinks
Fall is around the corner, and we are so ready for it! Cooler temperatures, hearty foods, and some favorite Fall drinks that are not available year round. These drinks warm our stomachs, but really also warm our soul. It’s something to look forward to, and isn’t it the little things that we look forward to the most? In a world where every current event seems to point to doom and gloom, it’s nice to have something less impactful to look forward to. We have a few favorite Fall drinks to explore – I’m sure there are many cocktails out there, but we are focusing on warm, non-alcoholic Fall beverages.
Pumpkin Spice Latte
I get it, this is the #1 basic drink of the season, but we love it! You either love pumpkin spice lattes, or you absolutely can not stand them. If you hate it, may I ask if you’ve ever had a REAL pumpkin latte? It makes a difference! Try starting with 3 tablespoons of real canned pumpkin. Next, add 2-4 tablespoons of organic maple syrup. Mix well with 2-4 shots of espresso, and then blend in some oat milk. Voila! THIS is the Pumpkin Spice Latte you’ve been searching for!
Apple Cider
This is another drink that tastes best when made from scratch, and not from some container at the store. It’s fairly easy, and makes kitchens smell amazing! Combine spices with apple juice, and cook over medium heat until it smells delicious. Add apples and cinnamon sticks, an orange slice or two, and bring it to the boil. Reduce the heat after it is boiling and then simmer for 15-20 minutes. YUM!
Turmeric Tea Latte
This is a spicy, delicious, and even healthy drink! It’s very easy, and super customizable as well. Feel free to change up the ingredient amounts, spices, and milk substitutes. Take 1/4 cup hot water, and add in one serving of Liquid Turmeric as well as 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon ground clove. Mix well, and then add in the sweetener of your choice – we like stevia. Pour into a mug or cup. Now, separately use a heated milk frother and heat/froth up some oat milk (maybe 1/2 cup.) Pour the frothy oat milk on top of your mixture, and drink up! Liquid Turmeric is fantastic for inflammation and can even help improve many other aches and pains.
You can truly add liquid vitamins to any of these beverages – it makes them a healthier option, so why not?
